Shalyn is a licensed State of Arkansas Realtor. She has worked to achieve the following additional certifications and designations to better serve her clients’ best interests- Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Graduated Realtor’s Institute (GRI), e-Pro, and Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA).

Additionally, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lyon College in Batesville, AR with a degree in Business Administration with a Management focus and a minor in Economics and has held an Arkansas property and casualty insurance license since 2008.

Career

Shalyn obtained her insurance license during her college years and worked in insurance sales part-time while completing college.

Post college, she entered the world of banking and served in risk management for 4 years then spent her final year in banking working as a mortgage loan originator- vital experience for a future Realtor.

During the first few years of her children’s lives, she worked part time as the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Independence County, AR, a local nonprofit focused on partnering with low-to-moderate income families to provide them with affordable and sustainable housing.

Shalyn has been in real estate since March of 2017 and has won the following Awards for Excellence through the Batesville Board of Realtors- 2018 Gold Level, 2019 Silver Level, 2020 Gold Level, 2021 Gold Level.

Life & Family

Shalyn was born in Batesville, AR, grew up in the lovely end-of-the-road community known as Bethesda and graduated from Cushman High School as the Salutatorian. From there she attended UACCB and graduated with an Associate’s Degree before proceeding to Lyon College to complete her Bachelor’s degree.

Shalyn is the mother of two little boys- Sawyer and Fletcher. They enjoy spending their time together outdoors, whether it be playing with the animals on their mini farm, fishing, gardening, or spending time on their boat on the lake.
